SAF Facilities

The athletic facilities at UAB, managed by SAF, represent one of the most complete and varied sports complex in the Vallès area, and one of the finest in Catalonia.

Anyone using the UAB Campus services is entitled to use the sports facilities in the same way as the university members do. SAF offers the possibility of renting both the facilities and specific sporting equipment to any interested person, group or association.

SAF can organize different activities within its facilities as well as renting spaces for externally organized events. In addition, SAF can also offer a team of professionals who will consult on and organize projects for any organization that requires it.

SAF has a wide range of quality sports facilities and centers concentrated within the same physical area:

  
  • 2 indoor swimming pools: one shallow depth pool and one fully adapted pool for training and water sports competitions, including water polo. Both swimming pools have outdoor annexes designed for sunbathing and recreation, like 1 beach volley court.  
  • 3 saunas: one men-only, one women-only and one mixed.  
  • 3 activity rooms, one of which is fully equipped with exercise bicycles for spinning sessions (indoor cycling).  
  • 1 fully equipped fitness gym offering personal coaching.  
  • 5 squash courts.  
  • 5 hardtrue tennis courts.  
  • 2 racketball courts.  
  • 1 handball court.  
  • 1 indoor sports pavilion with three individually functioning areas.  
  • 1 outdoors rock climbing area.  
  • 1 indoors rock climbing wall.  
  • 1 artificial grass field for football, "seven-a-side" and indoor football.  
  • 1 artificial grass field for indoor football.  
  • 3 locker room zones.
