UAB Campus

The Agència de Promoció d'Activitats i de Congressos coordinates the commercial activities of the UAB Campus. It is responsible for consulting, organizing and coordinating a variety of activities held at the different UAB university sites. These include meetings, congresses, seminars and professional conferences, one-off events, outdoor activities, building visits as well as leisure activities and events, which take place primarily during the summer months.

The agency also offers its services for the organization of any meetings and congresses that university members may want to hold off the campus.

The Agency performs the following functions:

• Identification of client needs and consulting on the general organization of events.

• Help with preparing budgets.

• Collaboration with publicity.

• Help in choosing suitable facilities for each event and providing on-going support (negotiating prices, checking on quality of services, etc.).

• Provision and organization, if necessary, of the various services involved in the event.

• Provision of secretarial support:
   - Organizing travel
   - Monitoring registration
   - Accommodation
   - Cultural visits and social activities
   - Transportation
   - Communications and publications

To provide these services, the Agency uses the support skills of outside companies and collaborators.

UAB Campus is a member of the Barcelona Convention Bureau, Barcelona Meeting Total Convention Bureau, Barcelona Outdoor & Corporate Traning and ICCA (International Congress and Convention Association).
